Dropped the hammer on this nice 5 x 5 5 seconds into hunting season. His nicest whitetail to date. Dad was quite proud. I missed a monster the following day that should have been a gimme. Did a "Drive" and the buck came right out on my stand. He was running pretty good and was just too close. Woofed off two quick shots and when the dust settled, nothing. Absolutely sick about it, but glad for my boy. I have a late whitetail tag in the area so I hope to redeem myself.
