palouse

First of all, I really hate to be that guy, but i feel as if i have been around here long enough, and gave my fair share of input to justify this posting. This is what this website is for anyways right  :dunno:

I was one of the 750 people to draw a Palouse late whitetail tag units 127-142. I usually hunt the 145 area. I originally had a huge chunk of land secured in the Steptoe unit but that fell through. I am having a hard time securing private land for this hunt, and it is getting to be crunch time. I have made 2 trips down to the area knocking on doors with no luck. Have scoured maps, and while i was down there i looked at a few pieces of public land that didnt look promising at all. I have my uncle, who lives in Spokane working on getting me onto some land in the Cheney unit, but not sure how that is going to turn out.

Does anyone have any info they are willing to share with me? Anything and everything helps! Thanks a bunch guys!
Michael

Mostly all private lands but there is State lands available, find a state plot and sit, they will be rutting and running around all day at the end of the late season. people will be on guard as there have been a plague of burglaries in the area and with all the trespassing and slob/*censored* bag  road hunters that tore the area up last week, permission may be hard.

There are a lot of hunting by written permission properties in GMU's 130-133.  Get over there this weekend and get a few permission slips to hunt somebody's wheat stubble field and you should be able to find a nice buck.
The best friend a guy could have asked for. RIP chasing pheasants in heaven Denali girl.
