Asking for an average is tough without specifying location. What's the average weight of a whitetail? People from Florida would have a very different answer than people from Wisconsin. Then the people from Florida would say the Wisconsin guys are shooting whitetail/muley hybrids, or their scales are wrong, or they're liars, because the biggest deer in their neighborhood was XXXlbs and their dad has never shot one over XXXlbs.
There's a good chance I won't weigh another big blacktail. Anymore I leave the bones up on the hill with the guts.
