I had the same thing happen to me yesterday and it was a bigger 4x. At least I did get to see a buck.

Nice backyard bucks.  I've seen some monster pics of bucks in Bellingham in couple of the neighborhoods with greenbelts running through them.  They definitely know where they are safe.
