West side bull down 6x6
« on: November 11, 2012, 06:52:27 PM »
I shot this bull first thing Saturday morning, about 7:10.  I drove around a corner on a logging road and two bulls were running up a clearcut and hit the road about 500 yards in front of us.  It looked like they may have went up the steep hill above the road so we headed up the road and got to the location where they had hit the road and I jumped out and headed up the road.  I glassed the steep clearcut above the road but didn't see anything so I kept on the road and as soon as I made it around the corner they were both running down the road just about into the timber. I stopped on the landing and only had a shot at the back bull, 125 yard shot on the run, died right on the side of the road, it couldn't have worked out any better.  It all happened so fast I'm not sure which one was bigger, but it Doesn't matter, I'm happy with this one!  I boiled the head out last night and will have him bleached and ready for the wall by the end of the week.

Nice Bull! Congrats!  I appreciate your honesty, but this may have been an ok time to lie and say you spent the next 18 hours packing it out of a deep hole far from any sign of civilization.. :chuckle:
