Foxpro sound sequence

Hi, I just bought a foxpro wildfire 2 ecaller. I usually hand call but it was cheap so i though what the hell. What sequence do you guys usually use for the foxpro sounds. Im going at the end of the month to moses lake to my usual spring hunting spot. Ive never hunted in november for coyotes. Are they as hungry as they are in spring/ winter. I did a search and all i came up was use jackrabbit in distress call. Im looking for more detail information. I also use a quiver critter when i hand call. Can i use it with an ecaller?

  coyotes eat everyday they can. I have no  idea what a quiver critter is, but if it is a moving decoy, some like em some dont. Use any sound ya want. I almost never use rabbits. I like bird and pup sounds. Moses lake gets the crap called out of it by expert callers .
My grand all knowing and wonderful advice: watch the wind, keep yer mouth shut, sneak in on low ground, sneak out on low ground, hide well, hunt alot so you learn what works, call places where coyotes live, DO NOT MISS.
turn off your puter and go call coyotes, even in places where you cannot shoot, tons -o- fun.

Play with sounds, different area's will need different calls. Finish your stands with pup distress or ky yi

I'm am trying to say this nice Polyanskilex, you are most likely not going to find anyone to give you detailed information because no one likes to give up their self learned sounds or sequences that work good for them. Also I think you will realize after you start to have some success that it is better to figure out what works by yourself so that you have somewhat of an understanding of WHY it works. If someone gave you a sequence that consistently called coyotes in, what would you do when it quit working? And it will quit working at some point. I don't have a lot of experience compared to some guys on here, I have only been at it maybe 6 or 7 years but if you look back through my posts, I was asking the same type of questions as you. It was real frustrating not getting any answers but looking back, its the best thing that could have happened. I had to learn what worked by myself and I spent a lot of time trying. I did do a lot of reading on the internet but most everything I found was generic advice. After I started calling in and killing some coyotes I wanted to learn some advanced techniques and once again I couldn't find anyone to help me. I never had a mentor or someone to teach me, it was all trial and error. Now I am happy with my success but I won't stop trying different things to try to better my success. The best thing you could do is find someone who really knows what they are doing and see if they would help you learn. Jerry Malbeck is an example of a guy that knows what he is doing but I understand he isn't taking people out anymore. Hope this helps and I didn't mean to offend anyone with this post.

I agree.  I just started coyote hunting a few months ago.  I have a Furry.  It's a great tool.  Part of the fun is getting out there and learning as you go.  Just give it time.  I missed my firs dog.  Man it is awesome seeing them come in.

I just picked up a Foxpro Wildfire myself. Tried it out last Sunday and was very impressed at the sound quality. Didn't get any yotes to come in, but it was a beautiful day to be out enjoying the great outdoors.

i have one sound on my caller that just seems to drive coyotes wild, twice I've had them jump up into a bush and rip the whole caller down.  I'd like to use it all the time but i keep using others and have found a bunch that work but none like that sound.  Tom Austin likes the vole squeak on the Foxpro, Tony Tebbe uses rabbit sounds.  You have to find the ones that work for you.

What? Guys ask all the time on here about elk calling, deer calling, turkey calling and water fowl. So, you coyote callers don't give up calls that work or where to start? Are you guys special or something? We new guys just want a start on what calls work and we will improve from there. I'm good at elk, turkeys, ducks and geese. Never tried coyotes and I got a new FoxPro fire 2 for Christmas this year. I do kill coyotes and have 3 under my belt this year, didn't call a one in. Just because one had to learn by them self like I did on all my calling doesn't mean you can't point one in the right direction to start to learn.

PA Ben , If you look thru the info on here and sites such as predator masters  and take the time to search back a few years youll find so much detailed info it will make your head spin . Search FoxPros web site for tips as well . I used to type out long drawn out senarios over and over and well I just got tired of doing it . If you take the time to do some research like we did in the field youll find enough info to keep you reading for days . Still no substitute for time spent in the field to figure out what works BEST for YOU . Jerry FoxPro  Field Staff

When I had a fellow Hunt Wa member over for a weekend we had the best results getting answers with the FoxPro C26 Coyote pair sound. We were extremely hampered with dense fog the whole weekend but at least got the song dogs answering. I have had them come in on the run with  FP C25 Coyote Group yip howls.
But with over 100 sounds have yet to get the opportunity to test them all to see what works the best

Been using that sound with pretty good sucess since, well,  I began using electronics with an old 8 track put together my Murray Burnham! Mid 70's maybe?. Confidence deke was an foil pie tin hung of a branch nearby! Usually ended with a couple down most mornings!
