Yeah, I haven't checked back to see if there are any more recent aerials of the areas I spend time in, but I know when I first put them on there I was a little disappointed with how old they were.  Not ancient old, but things change fast in timber country as far as what's standing timber and what's clearcut!

Of course on the east side or in places where there isn't a whole lot of change, having satellite photos that are a few years old wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Yeah I think so.  The more populated areas get updated more than typical hunting grounds, that's for sure!

Yes that.  My old house in Tacoma looked to be updated every 6 months or less, but my favorite campground out on the coast hasn't been updated in at least 3 years.

My 655T (I have the best one, by the way), doesn't navigate roads. Do I have to subscribe to another download to do that or is something else available for me?

Use your smart phone for that.

+1 it's a LOT cheaper to use what you have than spend $80 on a chip

You can turn off the key beeps. Setup > Tones > Key Beep > Off.

Did you mean GMRS and not MGRS? The 650 series can transmit on 5 watt GMRS.

Military Grid Reference System....
Just a grid method...

OK. The Rino and all other Garmin GPS units I've owned support MGRS.

My hunting partner (who happens to be one of the smartest dudes I know) cant seem to learn how to read/plot MGRS...
So we bought Rhinos....

Well, the wife ordered me the 650 for my birthday.  Should be here in a few days.  Just a heads up, they are about $100 less than Cabelas through pcnation with free 3 day shipping if anyone is interested.

The "basemap" should already be installed. Did you purchase additional maps, or was it advertised as coming with 24k topo maps as well? Most 650 models only come with a basemap.
