Are you close to becoming a whitetail freak when....you see a thread that says something like "masher buck" or "big buck down" etc.. and you're disappointed when you read the thread and its a mule deer?  That happens a lot to me.

Not hear.... Not even close... WT is boring to me and I'll probably never try to hunt them again... All the hype about them in every magazine or tv show has lead to the demise of them for me... I won't even read a mag if I see something about WT on it...

Certified mule deer freak

 Mule Deer are the second most awesome member of the deer family.  :twocents:  :chuckle:  I would rather kill a giant Mule Deer over a giant Elk any day....not that Elk aren't amazing animals too.

I've never been hooked on whitetails before but after seeing cleaveage like that - I am headed for whitetail country from now-on!

Absolutely! Would rather hunt a big whitey than anything else.  Posted some of my addiction in DBs other thread on baiting.

"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

I really love hunting whitetails and muleys and elk equally. With the way the season is for muleys and the numbers being down in the northeast corner it has become very difficult to find the truly big muleys. But once that season ends its on to elk and whitetails. I wouldn't say I have an obsession for whiteys but I certainly have a passion for them. I am hoping sometime soon in the next couple years to connect on a buck me and my dad have named "chocolate". He's one of those bucks I'd put in that giant or monster category!

I am in that boat, but not up to your status yet DB :chuckle:  Its my main target every year and I get obsessive over it and spend entirely to much time doing it.. I am already planning next years trail cam placements and which bucks I wanna see make the winter :chuckle:

Big whitetails are my main target, I just want one big knarly non-typical..........just one, is that too much to ask for!  :dunno: That being said I wouldn't pass up a nice muley either, but he would have to be 180" or bigger.
