you guys cant even fry your catfish the right way
If there were Southern judges I would be in......you guys cant even fry your catfish the right way and yall think a BBQ is a cooking device (grill) or an activity (cook out) when it is really just a food. Crazy folks out here!

Crazy folks out here! I have to agree a little.....I haven't smoked catfish so I'm not going there and I grill-it-up as much as possible for the family cookouts. You can't miss me, I'm the guy outside all by himself sitting in his chair with 2 maybe 3 grills going sitting in the sun, sometimes shade, and chugging water because i'm sweating to death surrounded by all the heat. Now that I got my new grill with a ton of cooking space and the other grills for misc. items I might have to start buying a trailer to haul all my stuff around, mobile cooking kitchen. Maybe I should just upgrade and buy a replica of Myron Mixons mobile BBQ trailer. I don't do competition style grilling but I want a big mobile BBQ trailer.....

There is nothing better than being kicked back outside surrounded by cooking devices with thermometers everywhere, water glasses and a few beers, random plastic tables with plates on them and people waiting inside for the cooking to be done. Woman asking when it will be done and the response, when the temp is right, "Well, how long will that be?" "When it gets 13 degrees hotter" blah blah blah.

Beer battered catfish or any sort of liquid battered fish/meat is not the way to go. You should not have an air gap between your meat and batter, crust crumbs or whatever else you want to called the fried goodness on the outside.like i said put yer coking where your mouth is
