Some taxis will take hides and give a pair of gloves. There's one down in the Rochester area, but a long way to go. You could contact Michelle's Taxidermy as I can't remember the name of the guy. It was nice when Quilceda was in Marysville, but they do not do it any more.
I have had a couple blacktail hides tanned hair on for backups.
can you take it out in the woods and shoot coyotes over it ?
Did anyone ever find anything out on trading a hide for a pair of gloves?
Most may not care but if you want an adventure brain tan your hide. Here are a few pics of some I have done. The big one is a big buck, the smaller buck has neat scars all down his back. I am sure they were from barbed wire. The small one is a small doe that wasn't smoked for color. Hence the hide is white. Enjoy the pics.
