I have a friend in Darrington that has a snow cat and a few years ago he got busted by the forest service for innocently driving on deep ungroomed, forest service roads. He got a warning from the forest service and they said if they bust him a second time it's a $5000 ticket. That's the Mt.Baker/Snoqualmie area. I know, it's a bunch of crap, a guy should be able to drive a snow cat around like a pick-up when a pick-up can't get there anymore, but that's the dictator world we live in. Anyway, we were wanting a snow cat as well for our place on the eastside. Fortunately we're surrounded by thousands of acres of private forest land and have permission to drive in there.yea I have been reading on there last night on irongoats posts , that group of people ride on forest service land , there is more to it.than most of.us knowIrongoat at forumsforums is an expert on this, and claims that USFS use permits are availble ( for a fee)

Before restoration- He's considering including it in the sale of his lot in Easton. Has water and septic installed. Everything was permitted with Kittitas Co. It's in the little community past the dam. Ready for a cabin build. Has 7 30" x 30' glue-lams to include as well.
