Save your money and just get Kenetrek! :twocents: I have had enough danner boots to buy 3 pairs of Kenetreks. you want boots that will hold up and GREAT customer service to boot leave those Danners on the shelf and go with the Kenetreks. :twocents:

I have a pair of Kenetreks and love them but I have to wear the right sock combo to not have heel slip. I'm going to try a pair of the new Danner full curls they have on sale for 168$. Have had the same problem with the pronghorns leaking after a year or so but it's been a few years so hopefully they have that fixed.
Shut up and Hunt!

I have some danner jackals that leak pretty bad, frustrating because I love those boots. My elk hunters have held up great though.

 :yeah:
I bought a pair of jackals back in April and within one month, they were starting to leak. Not surprising though considering I have owned 2 different pairs of pronghorns over the years and they had the exact same problem but considering how comfy they are, its kinda a trade-off I can live with for the moment.  :bash:

Ive been running danner pronghorns for archery elk here and in montana since i started hunting. This last year i made the jump to kentrek. I had heel slip for awhile and didnt trust them going into the season this year so i also packed long my danners and wore them for the first 5-6 days my feet were pretty sore and beat up so i decided why not where my Kens for the day,wow what a differnce!! The support in those things after wearing the prongs for a while was no contest. I havent put my prongs back on since. The heel slip went away after i broke them in. They are like slippers now!!!

I haven't either and I hate wet feet. The rest of my body can get soaking wet but not my feet. The one pair of Danners I had a problem with I took back to the Portland store and they said pick a pair out off the shelf. Not saying that the Kenetreks aren't good boots because they are and I love mine but so are the Danners. :twocents:

I have had 6 pairs of pronghorns all of them leaked and bad. I ruined my last pair with a waterproofing spray that i bought at footlocker. It melted the gortex liner and the nylon on the outside of the boot. I was pissed! not anyware on the bottle did it say not to use with gortex and it was for leather boots. Anyway I got some Kens after that and LOVE them.

do yourself a favor either buy a USA made pair, or buy another brand.  the stuff that danner sells that's chinese made is total junk.

their USA made boots on the other hand, are top notch, but expect to pay some money for them.  i've made the mistake of buying 2 pairs of danner romeos(made in china), both have lasted me less than a year.  my hunting boots(a pair of explorers and a pair of hawks) have held up really well.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Great just what we need, more people to jump on the bandwagon of buying cheap imported hunting products because they are cheaper to buy.  Man up and get the USA made boots, guns, etc, etc, etc.

I will never own Danners.  I used to like them years ago.  High end usa danners are still good, not the others.  China  Danner quarrys fall apart.  That said I like my Redwing Setters.  Great boot, made in China too. :dunno: :bash:
MAGA!  Again..
