side drift set for the cowlitz river ?

8lb leader about 40"
#2 hook
red or green corky
small clup of eggs or shrimp

What do you all think? Anyone fishing out that way in the last few day? I'm going to go on Thursday not sure what boat lunch i want to use yet.

While doing some work on the handicap area yesterday I saw 2 caught in about an hours time. Kinda surprised me. But soundslike it has been getting just a tad better for those that put in ther time.

Change your offerings and go at least 5 to 6 foot leader if sidedrifting. too short and the fish will feel you too soon! A longer leader lets em chomp a bit.

First run is dieing down. March will be your best bet as the second runs comes in.

I like 12 and 12 on the rivers for winter time the water usually has a bit of color to it so the fish arent leader shy and I like a leader between 4 and 5 feet. You can always shorten them up on the river. I also agree with the others on changing up your presentation!
