You're going to pay $6500 for a dog to go out and find you sheds? HA! It sounds like it can find cans, maybe you should go out and pick up a bunch of beer cans to try and recoup some of your money. By the way, I have a pigeon that I'm training to pick up quarters out of walmart parking lots. Would you be interested in buying him? I'm only asking $3850.25. Trust me, I'm working with him as we speak.

After reading all the messages i feel the same way. "Who the hell would pay $6,500 for a dog"! That being said the whole thing seems weird to me. I don't know this Roger guy or anything about his dogs or training but If you notice it's  Johnny2910's first post on the site. And this thread is 4 pages deep now and he hasn't posted a single thing after the first post. Either  Johnny2910 is a little embarrassed to have paid that much for a trained dog ( not saying its wrong that you did, its your money) or someone has a problem with this Roger and didn't like the way he trained there dog and decided to put his name down. Like i said it just seems fishey to me?  :twocents:

The OP will never be back. He has a beef and is probably posting where he can. One sided stories are never 100% true.

I think you are exactly right h2o, the guy is from Texas, it says that on his profile, he's mad over something so he posted on as many forums all over the internet as he could just so he could try and ruin the reputation of the other individual. I doubt he ever visits H-W again, I'm not saying the other individual is not guilty in some way, I am saying I don't agree with the methods employed by the OP.

I have my doubts that he paid $6500 for the dog, at the current time hounds and bird dogs are not worth what they used to be worth just a few years ago. I bet he could advertise on H-W for a shed dog for half that price and get phone calls the same day.

Dale...i would nominate this thread for nuking....if the OP was back and providind discussion that is one thing. So far it is a smear campaign. We can have a how much to pay in a new thread.
