This from Mercer Lawing in CA but it could easily happen to us here in WA really quick if it is not defeated.

This bill was introduced yesterday here in California giving essentially the same protection to the bobcats of this state that the Mountain Lion has. If passed you will no longer be able to hunt or trap a bobcat.

The trappers of California are going to have to get off their butts to fight this thing- not something that the majority of us do real well myself included.

I hope that when we call on the rest of the trapping community for a couple of bucks you will be there.

I've been aware this was going to happen. The bill was introduced on the last day before the cut off on introducing bills. It will be dead if they can stall it off 'till May 31st.
I'm not really sure if there is much we can do. What they need is calls to their Assemblymen from their constituents. I don't see where money is going to help them at this point. What they really need has to come from the sportsmen of CA, not money but voices.
Doesn't look good to me considering how the hound hunting ban flew through their Legislature recently and the F&W commissioner was axed for legally taking a cougar in ID. I am open to suggestions on how to help them.

Boy what is this world coming to so much for free america, let us know what we can do i hate seeing more rights tore from the hands of sportsman any where.
