the tail is muchdrier, you must like dry salmon, in our house its a fight over the collar, which is much juicier. huntincpl yes i flipped, its rare to see rocks that big, Mmmm gonna be nice n sweet. ok ya'll see ya im off to get some garlic were all out
It sounded good but if I was you I would eat the crab and let someone else have the fish you must live waaay up the river.

if the salmon is cooked right it wouldn't matter witch was was better.but the tail peice doesn't have any bones in it so most people who no that go for it first

Only reason it would seem drier is that it's thinner and gets overcooked when a whole fillet is cooked at the same time. With real quality fish, I never cook a whole fillet; by the time the thickest part is just done, the thinner parts are way overcooked. Collars are delicious. And bellies. And the fin sockets. I devour everything. Even boots. Meat is meat. Beggers cant be choosers If your a good cook, anything tastes good. And if your really in doubt, throw it in the smoker.
