That's good news indeed....especially after watching "Atlas Shrugged, Part 2" last night.  Maybe there's hope for America after all...
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Our two senators didnt vote for it. I posted on their FB page.

Oath of Office
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

That's good news.  Had we know about the amendment, maybe we could have helped promote it further.

We can turn the anti-gun tidal wave around if we continue to build our unified voice.  We must be relentless; we cannot rest.

In this case they made it without our support. It will be our job to get rid of the two WA Senators who are gun control freaks. Come election time we need to hammer them on their 2nd Amendment voting record.

so does this need Obamas signature or the house now?
good but still not out of the fire yet.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

To become law, I think you are correct, it would have to pass the House, which it most likely will, but then Obama would have to sign it.

Most importantly, I am pretty sure the Senate must ratify the UN Small Arms Treaty if Obama had Kerry sign it. So this sends a strong message that will not happen.

:yeah: 7 votes is way too small for something that is this important.
That anyone voted in favor of allowing the UN to decide the valitiy of any part of our Constitution is pathetic.
The 49, who voted to scrap a constitutional right and turn it over to the UN, should be indited by a grand jury and tried for treason.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.
