thank you guys the blues is that the name of the unit i would turn in for? don't want to get excited but this is the first time i have drawn anything and i know even with all the points i have does not mean i will draw i just don't want to waste them
If your asking this question then you have not done enough homework!!!! Do your homework and you will answer all the questions your asking us!  :twocents:
The blues is a HARD!!!! hunt you have been warned! Many people that have never been there apply and get drawn and upon show up are mentally beat and never fill the tag!! Good luck and I would look a little closer to home first  :twocents:
this is why i asked i have hunted elk on the west side i have very little time before permits are due i have had pretty good luck with elk not because i have not done my homework so i planned on going to the area before i turn in for any elk area just needed a place to start looking thanks for your input and if i draw any tag i will spend alot of time there

I would listen two woodchuck, he's a crazy man, recently recently released from a mental institution for thinking that there is still elk in the blues..let me repeat, there at NO ELK IN THE BLUES

Didnt really know eastern washington had high country like that, Its gorgeous. I imagine flatland desert when I think of easter WA lol.

& when woodchuck says jumping off points, there are literally places you could jump all the way to the bottom.

You need to go over to the east side and dry out a little and explore what there is to offer beyond I-90! LOL

Wenaha units, Dayton would be my choices.
I have helped a few others from time to time. Do not, DO NOT underestimate the terrain or the weather. Every person I have helped have done this. I have watched guys go home empty handed.

I have hunted lickcreek since 1979 the last time i hunted elk down there i had so many branched antler bulls running around i was pissed because the only thing i could shoot was a spike there is some really big bulls in that unit you will have to work to get them in some steep and deep country but they are there
