What deep fryer?

Time for a new deep fryer. What are you using and would you buy it again?

There are lots of small, inexpensive deep fryers that will work fine for occasional small batch frying. I had a Presto FryDaddy that cost about $30 and would fry individual batches of french frys or sweet potato frys and worked well.

But if you want to do larger batches or use more frequently I would recommend a fryer with more features (specific temperature control, oil storage container, oil filtration system). If you check out amazon.com there are several models that have 100+ reviews.

I have a $30 Farberware from Walmart, Works great. Just doesnt have a HUGE capacity for how much u can fry at once. Works great for me though.

Consumer grade stuff is the worst.  I used to know a guy back in Spokane that worked at KFC.  I'd bring the filets in on nights he was closing.  Talk about an AWESOME breading!

Of course, the people the next day may have had a little bit of a "perchy" flavor in their Classic Chicken bucket...

Thats exactly what mine looks like, but its a single wide. Crap for that price go with the cheap walmart brand.  Just get 2 of them lol.

Stopped using a fryer years ago. Cast iron pot on the side burner of the BBQ is the only way to go. WAYYYYYYY better flavor and a better fry.

i have had a few. all too small. now i have one with 3 baskets, a huge basket or 2 average size can be used. love it. and make sure its EASY to clean like stainless

What I ended up ordering was a t-fal ultimate ez clean.  Mostly positive reviews on it and for $100 I'll try it out.  Has a tub on it that you drain and filter the oil into after each use to keep the oil cleaner longer.  I'll let ya know how it works out.
