HORSE - come on folks, use your noodles  :chuckle:.  Elk and Deer have NO upper front teeth.

I was looking at the skull wiht the holes in it....that's the horse skull.  The other one is an elk, as everyone has already made perfectly clear  :chuckle:

Good point about the lack of upper teeth. It must be a cow ELK.  Or could it be a moose? :dunno:

is it legal to pick up a skull in the woods even know it has no horns?
if it had horns, it's not legal to remove it from the woods.

Man-0-man, I was almost ashamed how long it took some of you folks to figure out it wasn't a horse! the teeth thing and all.....

deer, elk, moose, cows, goats, sheep, buff'ler, ALL don't have teeth on thier upper jaw....

city folks.... :chuckle:

oh, and the warden told the kids in my son's hunter ed class it wasn't legal to pick up a scull with antlers  mounted on it unless it was on your own proper-T.

It's a cow elk ;) Elk have whistler's on the top. It's part of the trophy when you harvest an elk. Always take out the whistlers.
