Hey Rob , this buck might have started those genetics  Same  back fork .... This buck is 31 wide also ...

You could be right.  That low fork looks about the same on all 3 bucks.  Beautiful mount by the way.  If I kill a wall hanger this year i'm bringing it to you bucklucky. I luv your deer mounts.

P.S. That guy holding the buck should smile.
He looks mad that everyone thought his buck was 180 instead of 200.

 :dunno:

He had to take it down to prove the haters wrong and post a score sheet!!!  I'd be mad too.  Nice buck mav.

This thread is washed out but I will respond to this post.  I for one was not hating on Mav's Buck.  It is a dandy.  Just simply put the first picture did the buck no justice.  Never said it was a dink buck or mashed in anyway.

i live in othello and it is only 12 miles to desert unit.  something most dont know, there is a lot of poaching at the desert unit.  it is surrounded by roads and has a big lake in it.  some poachers tag and some dont.  have heard about it for a long time.  had taught at othello hi and had kids who lived in the unit who would tell stories.  you could walk from the south to the north border in a half day.   mike w

drew the tag last year(archery) and its brutal with the amount of hunters. general season archery  tag has less pressure than the good ole 290 quality hunt, which was unexpected. i know i will not burn points on a unit with 32 archery tags.

billdo pretty sure i met you one day out there, you were the only other guy i saw hunting solo. unlike the groups of people that have never set foot in that unit and show up with 4 friends just wondering around thinking they are just going to be able to stumble up on a buck and kill it  :chuckle:

I hunted out there two years ago for the early rifle tag. There was 15 people hunting, but everyone had 3 "bird dogs" with them. After everyone pushed it every which way it was hard to find decent bucks.
