I haven't seen a bear that bald in the face since the baiting days. After Larry D. Jones did his bear hunting video and introduced people to sour mash we saw quite a few like that up towards Index where so many people baited. We shot one of them and it had more molasses and barley on it's face than hair. Most of his teeth were rotten too.

That is a great picture though. Looks like one nice and happy group of hunters. All my group pictures end up where everyone looks angry at each other. Looks like a perfect shot - Congratulations to the wife!

We figure 275 to 300 lbs based on the amount of meat we got off him and the hide weight.

My 12 year old son Nate with his spring bear. Heart shot at 165 yards. Beautiful 125 pound blonde.
