Terrible week for us eastsiders I think. We went out once on saturday but with 60 degrees sunny with no wind... It's rough.
Going out again sat but that's for next week, was gonna go out tomorrow but just not worth it everythings high in the sky out here.

Finally got pics and points figured out for Team Donkey Punch's week 2.
We hunted together on Sunday and shot our 14 misc ducks(gotta love early season!!!). The bag consisted of:
1 Bull Pintail(young but still a bull!) 3pts
7 mallards 7pts
4 GWT drakes 8pts
2 wigeon hens 2pts
Hunting together 5 pts
Full, mixed limit 5 pts
Sunday total 30 points
I hunted alone today on my birthday as I try to do each year and had a nice little shoot:
6 drake mallards 6 pts
1 bull pintail 3 pts
Full male limit 10 pts
Tuesday Total 19 pts
So I have it figured that we're at 49 points and my partner should be here tomorrow to hunt the evening and/or thursday morning.
little tough to make it out but the bird on the far left is a bull pintail. I took some close up shots if needed, same with the GWT.

So are we counting it as 5 points for each full 7 duck limit?

ok, here's my partner's second hunt for the week. He hunted Thursday morning alone and shot 6 greenheads and 1 eclipse drake GWT. Should've been all greenheads but he flubbed the group of 25 that dropped in with 3 nice drakes back winging over the water. Everything flew away! Maybe he should've been shooting Black Cloud!!!
so, points are as such:
6 drake mallards - 6 pts
1 drake GWT - 2 pts
all drake limit - 10 pts
Band -
? pts(not sure if they're worth anything)
So his hunt is 18 pts + the 49 we already had for a week 2 total of 67 points.
Week 3 is looking bleak. He's gone guiding some homo's on a fly fishing trip and won't get to hunt the weekend unless he can jumpshoot while they're fishing. and weather wise it's not lookin good for us duck hunters. 68 degrees and sunny?
At least I'm not elk hunting in this crap!

G.D., Yeah that Black Cloud is awesome stuff!! I don't know how I have been getting by just shooting the cheap ($5/box at a gun show) 2 3/4" 2's this whole time. I still haven't figured this point system out. If we are going to count each individual 7-bird limit as 5 pts extra, I'm going to have to have an accountant re-calculate Team Mudhen's score. Good Luck on the weekend. Things don't look much better here on the wetside.

Yeah, might need a calculator to figure things out...
2-3/4" 4's for me this morning, stoned a specklebelly at about 40 yards. If I would've had some Black Cloud I could've waited and let him fly out to 60!!!
