How hard is it to adjust a Savage Accutrigger? Special tools needed?

I think the subject line says it all....

I have a fairly new one and was considering lightening it a bit.

I don't want to wreck it, misadjust it or screw it up and need to take a bag of parts to a gunsmith.....

oh gunsmiths love bag o gun its like a jigsaw puzzle  that said I think those triggers adjust pretty easy? like one or 2 screws?  bring it over here we will fix it up

I just you tubed that question, bunch a vids. I did my howa from a YouTube vid. It was pretty easy! Got it down to about 2.5 lbs.

If you bought it NIB it comes with the tool and instructions. Looks like it can be done with a small screwdriver, though. I will try to dig out the manual from the one i bought last year and take some pictures.

its extremely easy if you have the tool that came with it. Never tried using other tools to do it.

Why do you plan on lightening the trigger? Its not like your going to be shooting a big bull this year with it...is it for all the times youwill be shooting at it and missing? Don't want your finger to tire out

I may be wrong, but I think I read in the Savage Manual, that the Accutrigger comes from the factory set at the lightest setting (about 4 lbs.)? 

I think all you need is an Allen-type wrench to adjust it, from the bottom.  I don't think you even have to take the action out of the stock.  My memory is rusty--I read it, but never touched mine...

The tool to adjust the trigger is very similar to a valve stem removal tool, but a little smaller. You're not turning a screw, but the actual spring. The spring threads in and out to adjust the trigger pull. You can easily adjust it without the tool by simply turning the spring.

You have to remove 2 allen screws and remove the barrel/action from the stock. Use the tool provided to turn the spring assembly until you get your desired pull. I think the hunting rifles will go a shade below 3 lbs and the varmit guns a bit lighter if memory serves me correct. With the accustock it is easy to dis and re assemble them with no issues.
