Depends on the industrial fire class level.  If it is high they will close it.  When it is iffy they will watch hunter behavior.  If it looks like hunters are being careful they will keep open with some access restrictions.  A few not following rules will cause it to close.

Is this true? I have never heard if that.

Pretty hard to tell this early on, it's been hot and dry though so in sure it probably won't be open for the August 1 opener

I'll bet money they will find any reason they can to close it. They always have

Yes, several of the timber companies will restrict to nonmortorized access only.  If hunter decides to ignore this and drive anyways of sneak in on ORV's they will close it.   I no for a fact we lost access to areas last year in areas that do not have gates but were red dotted and posted walk in only.   Several Archers chose to ignore this so they just shut it down.

IMO it has nothing to do with the hunters because locked gate areas that are patrolled and walk in only get shut down also do to fire danger.

Closed for sure this year.  The weather is pretty dry this summer.  A weather change is only thing to change it.

I did and thank god I filled it day 2 cause they closed the woods day 3
I think eastern WA is where I plan to elk hunt now becaue its no worries about fire closures, locked gates and a lost early season plans.

Still a lot of dew in the mornings. Doubt the humidity is low enough to close it anytime soon. Could be wrong though.

True, I do know humidity has a lot more to do with it than you (or at least I) would imagine. Its awfully dry and hot here today though.
