In a nutshell, no.The legislation passed opens the door to the possibility that you will be able to do that soon, but no, you cannot do it right now. The biggest reason why is one very specific clause in the legislation...Page 10, line 18 of HB 1632(d)(i) A person may not operate a wheeled all-terrain vehicle on a19 public roadway within the boundaries of a city or town, not including20 nonhighway roads and trails, unless the city or town by ordinance has21 approved the operation of wheeled all-terrain vehicles on city or town22 roadways, not including nonhighway roads and trails.
Can this be explained in a nutshell? For instance, can I ride a quad on DNR roads say in Tahuya state forest? How bout the FS roads in Little Natches, Rimrock ect?As long as I have met the registration, inspection criteria?
Townships
This is some thing to actually keep an eye on. If the township passes and ordinance to make it ok for ORV use, then we can ride I would hope that the small townships will start passing some thing to make it legal, that way there are more places to ride.Could be great for the east side but the west side would probably vote it down

It's signed into law. It's very confusing, so what I'm telling you is what I've been told by our ATV club secretary. Towns with less that 7000 can do one thing and towns with more than 7001 can do something else. Don't worry, I'm confused still and most likely will remain that way. The Gov signs a law and they don't know how to address the law, sound familiar ?

This is getting way off track from what Smossy asked, my fault I guess, sorry.
