My 9.5ft camper swayed a lot on my F350 Ford, but rode extremely nice and didn't sway on my 2500 Chevy.  Both were stock suspensions, probably due to the Ford sitting higher.  Wish I didn't sell it, in the "future" market myself..  But looking at Bigfoot or Northern Lights, like the two piece designs like fiberglass boats, sealed and dry...

Lots of good tips so far.  My advice would be don't buy one that's too old or signs of leakage trying to save money. I made that mistake and ended up giving it away. I wouldn't own another one unless I had covered storage to keep it nice.  Even a good one will suffer from being exposed to the elements all the time.

We bought a 2003 northern lite in 2006 used. Had cosmetic damage inside that I fixed. Would have never bought it new at full price. One of those to good to pass up deals. Been a grate truck camper! Hunted in zerro deg temps and all worked with some added insulation here and there to keep the water flowing. It is 10' 2" and 2425lbs dry. That one Campmeat got is a beautiful outfit! Hes gots penneys to burn? :chuckle:
