I'm planning to go out opening day for the first time with a bow.  I will enjoy being out in in the woods and the deer will be a bonus.  If it is anything like turkey I anticipate my chances will be about 0.01% :chuckle:

Finished speed goat butchering and still a little room left in freezer #3 for a deer or two.  Will be the first opener in three years the wife has full vision in both eyes.  She's dang excited!!  I bought her a new pair of Swarovski binos to celebrate.  Hoping she pounds a big boy right out the gate.  Will make her year!  And I will get to use the good glass for a few days :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I've got a 20 year old pair of binos, a big truck running on nine cylinders' and the trany in my beater is running on borrowed time. :bash:

But I get to hunt where ever and when ever I want except during her Washington archery elk season.  I think I'm still getting the better end of the deal :chuckle:

I'm so excited I can't stand it!  Unfortunately, I have to start all over, sighting in my bow!  Once I screwed on broadheads I realized my arrows were too short.  Not only too short, also too weak spined!  So, new arrows are being built, by Whitetail Plus Archery.  Hoping to have them today, so I can spend this evening and tomorrow getting sighted in!

just set up the target in the hall way and dont miss thats what i do on crunch time. shoot before you go to bed a cpl times early morning befor you go out

Two bucks, one a really nice 3X3 behind the fence tonight, hit one in the head with an apple... lucky for them the freezer is still too full to stick the big guy in it.   8)  Haven't decided whether to hunt archery or modern, I think my daughter is going to do ML though for her first hunt.

Good luck to all.
