I seen the Barbour guy getting out of his truck about noon at the Graham Safeway I was tempted to stop, and see what kind of guy he was after he made an ass out of himself on here.  I didn't see Eva Shockey with him just some other guy in camo with a bugle tube hanging off of his neck.

I just read on Facebook that Eva Shockey is hunting with this outfit. . Interesting

Who's facebook page? The outfitters? I really doubt that it's true, they have more money that that.

Eva posted it on her page.  Weird they would use him

Syrians for sure.

She was with him at Evergreen Archery in Graham on Friday. Signed one of their shirts. I missed her by 15 minutes.

So no cow down,

But I'd be interested in the quality of the hunt.  Was he knowledgeable, curious hunter and provide a good hunting experience?  We all go out and don't see a thing (at least I do) every once in a while so sure want to give him a fair shake given he was crushed on here a few months back.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being worth every cent he would charge a paying customer.

Each to there own, I  personally could not sit in a blind and wait for elk to come to me during the rut. I mean come on there are literally a tens of thousands of acres of public land near by with elk in them. Why sit in one spot for 5 days and pay a guy to do it.

I think this thread is proving what we have thought all along.  :bash:

I live within a few miles of where they are hunting.  Those are urban elk that live on private property. He sits his clients in blinds because if they spot and stalk hunted they would find or follow the elk onto property he doesnt have permission to hunt.  That would be pretty crappy to be paying a guide and find your 7x7 bull to be on property u cant shoot it on.  He avoids that by staying in blinds he has permission to be on.  There is some small public areas on the outskirts of this herds range but those spots are not very productive.

I just saw Eva's last post on facebook and in the pic you can see a fence in the background. I also live close to this herd and see them almost daily on my way to work. Not really hunting if you ask me.

I care. She comes from a HIGHLY respected family who has done nothing but good for our hunting heritage. I'm really hoping it comes together for her today.
