Who would like to see a shotgun season?
« on: September 30, 2013, 07:45:10 PM »
I got to thinking and I want a shotgun season for big game.   15 day season with a late season would be cool.

What does everyone think?
30,000,000 legal firearm owners killed no one yesterday.

Not a bad idea for some GMUs, and add in .209 primed muzzys

There's no room for it. Only so many days in a month. You can hunt with a shotgun during modern firearm if you choose to do so. Good opportunities in firearm restriction areas where rifles are not allowed, but shotguns, archery, and muzzleloader is.

Its called firearms restricted areas.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Not interested in a dedicated shotgun season. I'd imagine other existing seasons would have to be shortened to make room.  :bdid:

I was thinking a Medieval Catapult season. Let's face it, it would be bad-ass.

Absolutely no need for a shotgun season. If  you want to use your shot gun can use one in modern season or use your muzzle loader shot gun with a round ball in Muzzleloader season or general season. No need for a 209 muzzle loader season any where. Talked to land owners who are against a high powered rifle in their area and possibly get access when you use a shotgun.  I have shot a white tail with a .69 patched roundball in  my 12 gauge flint in the late season and did the job.

I posted here, took it down(wasn't nice).Another try at it,we have enough rules, regs, restrictions ETC without throwing something else in the mix that would only cripple what we are fighting to keep allready. We have the seasons we have when we have them for a reason (according to the people that make the rules anyway)and if you throw in another season we would get cut back from this many days to hunt to almost half that which we get now.so in your poll there should be DO YOU THINK THIS IS WAY OUT THERE (being carefull not to offend anyone lol);  :twocents:  :sry: in advance.
You must first be honest with yourself,Until then your just lying to everyone.
