I was most amused by this part of the article:

“Meanwhile, while school officials’ initial reaction was to ask the officer not to wear his gun and uniform to school, they are now saying they want to turn this incident into ‘a teachable moment,’” KSAZ-TV reports. “They invited the officer to a special assembly to talk about what police officers do for the community.”

Hopefully it is the school officials and overreacting parents that are being taught something.

I know I'd feel really good about dropping my kids off at a school run by a principal without a single ounce of common sense! I've never been much of a protester but I believe people in mass need to demand consequences when teachers and administrators pull crap like this, and if they don't get it pull their kids out of that school. It will effect their funding and jobs.
