Thurston County Wolf

Q13 Fox was reporting breaking news that "Thurston County sheriff's deputies are responding to a loose, aggressive wolf in the 7000 block of Meridian Road".. I can't find anything on their website yet though. There was a picture posted saying they've contained the wolf and are working on subduing it. The comments are pretty crazy on the Q13 facebook page.

They should release more there. If it were more dangerous for our elected and appointed officials to go to work, like it is for E. cattle ranchers, maybe they'd vote using their brains instead of pandering to special interests.

The most interesting thing was reading the comments, a lot of "have a taste of your own medicine" type arguments back and forth with "don't put it down! don't hurt him"  if a dog gets killed for being aggressive and attacking a neighbor dog then why would they think otherwise of this wolf.

My bet is that's what people often claim to see in the Toutle unit. Weyerhaeuser started keeping their roads gated for a reason. Garbage wasn't the only thing that people dumped.

I was just going to post this story! I wonder how many other 98%er's are out running in the states How do you get only 2% domestic/98% wolf

Certainly possible, unlikely any of the wolfers follow the genetics close enough to accomplish it.  Sixth generation would be more than 98%, getting exactly 98% would take some careful back crosses.
