I would like to be there in the morning,  I am positive there will be a few disgruntled people.

There will be tons of people showing up I think. Alot of those yahoos that go out there are about as sharp as a spoon, and probably don't do any kind of pre season work, they just show up for all the road hunting avavilable in Vail. They will be dissapointed for sure.

I live just a couple miles from the main gate.  I'm tempted to make a trek down there before the daughter and I hit the woods just to see how many show up.  There is going to be a guard at the gate turning people away so the waiting line probably won't be long but the line of pissed off hunter leaving will be.  I'm afraid that all the little pocket areas and farmland is going to be encroached upon big time.  I am already seeing trespassing and poaching on Weyco leased land.  I'm glad that I don't live against Capitol Forrest!

I like that way of thinking.  I have pulled toads out of there.  It has gone downhill but my highest daily deer count out there this year was over 120.   Not too many places gonna show that many blacktail in one day.

Should be interesting. The areas around the main entrance will probably be packed with people. I wonder how they will keep them off the backsides where the property is only gated?

105k doesn't seem like much does it?

I bet when you add up the cost of signs, additional security, wear and tear on the roads and the increased cost of insurance that sum would make a big dent in 105k.

And the packet itself. You get a map, key and mirror tags..... That costs money.

Security was checking passes at the 150 gate. The two people that pulled up behind me got sent away.  There was noticeably less people up there.  I'm loving it.

Something like 150 rigs came in between both gates.  It was very nice.

I thought about swinging by the main gait on my way into work this morning around 5 am.  You can bet that there were a lot of very surprised folks down there!

I'm heading in with my father-in-law (who also has a pass) tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how may people are back there, and where they all end up.

Does anyone know how many deer were taken today out of there? Any BIG bucks? Any cats or bears?
