what a way to end the season

My archery season sucked and we didn't have the money to get an archery tag for my girlfriend so we waited for rifle for her. Anyway after hunting hard all season and blowing twice on a decent 3x3 yesterday morning we came home for lunch. On the way out we passed a non hunter who looked suspicious, after lunch we came back and he was parked in my spot keep in mind we see a lot of tweekers in this area. Anyway we start heading to my stand which I know is on public land and low and behold him, another adult, and two kids have my freestanding straps in their hands, they see me and and drop themp wcal the shiffs partment and they ended up stopping all of them and let them keep walking, well I stopped and talk to the Sherrod and he said they didn't have my treestand so I told him its because they ditched in on the way out, so the sheriff takes off and pulls them over and brings them back to get my stand. The guy apologized and hands me my stand and says it looked old and run down. Yet he also said when he seen the cop he got scared and ditched it.

Sorry for spelling, my phone has a mind of its own and everytime I try to edit it screws up

No, he gave them two options, he said either he was arresting them for trespassing and theft or give my stuff back and don't come back

Yeah, I'm heading down to get my other too stands today. I wouldve taken them down last night butiI lost the keys to my locks  :bash:
