NASP instructor training

easiest way I've found for getting a certifying class scheduled is to get a local school that currently doesn't have it & pitch it to them & get in the class when they have it for their teachers. I will probably go to Republic myself but good luck to you guys

I'm interested in the certification.  I live in Ferndale, could Bellingham to Mt Vernon be a class if I could get enough people together???  I also heard you have to use the NASP equipment is this true?  I want to set up shooting classes with Traditional equipment.  Will NASP still certify me?

NASP is designed so that all students participating use the same equipment, the genesis bows.  This allows all students that participate to start on an equal footing and allows instructors to be able to teach without having to learn about different bows.

I did the class in Bellevue a couple years ago and don't recall having to pay for it though.   

I bet WFWest would have kids that would want to do it, I had plenty sign up for rifle team when I was down there a long time ago.

Neat thing about NASP, curriculum 4th-12 grade, so that includes Olympic and Cascade, not to exclude Adna...
Why I am going to do this, probably should also talk to the guys at "The Lucky Shot"...

NASP certifies that you have been trained in SAFETY, and provides curriculum and access to equipment, but once certified I do not think they have a rule you MUST use their equipment...
In my research, NASP is accessible and active with WSAA, while USA Archery is partnered with NFAA, and has more of a "traditional" base. However finding instructor training with USA Archery in Washington State has been harder than with NASP, I have been attempting for over a year, with no responses... Now if I could afford to travel, USA would be a better route.
I actually am "on the hunt" for a level 3 coach/trainer to give me lvl. 1,2 training, but my emails get lost in cyberspace...


But, I will be attending at least the BAI course on Sunday, so if anybody else makes it, say hi !
