anyways after 2 months of scouting, 1 grouse down and i dont even know how many does i saw but got my first deer and it was an awsome experience. this was the first time i went out by myself without the experience of my buddies and wasnt sure where to go. my buddy at work told me about a line he liked that i havent check yet and went and looked. this was fri and i managed to get off work at 11:15am and it was raining. checked a few spurs and about 30min after i reached the area i saw a deer and started shackin. brought the binos up and couldnt tell if it was a buck or doe but kept watchin and shakin at the same time. saw some horns and then started shakin even worse. had the wind commin at me and the deer was walkin away from me and found a stump and set up. deer went to the side about 4 times but was still shakin too much to take a good shot. took a few breaths and then had a shot and took it and didnt see the deer after. waited about 20 min and then walked down with my gun and found the deer just over the hill and then the fun began. walked back to truck and got my knife and moved the truck closer to the deer. gutted the deer for the first time(never seen it done) then pulled it up the steap ravine that i shot it in. took me an hour to get it to my truck but wow i am hooked and it ended up being just a spike. took it to my buddies and skinned it and now it is at stewarts for peperoni and steaks and cant wait to eat it

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Way to go! I loved the honesty about the shaking.
I'm hoping for my first buck this year too.
