pretty sure they in wa, don't know any other states that use cage traps..

Other states stuck with cage trapping,
California
Colorado
Massachusetts
Arizona (all public land)

Does it decrease the value for a mink if you shoot it in the head instead of drowning?

Got another mink in the same trap that I got a mink in on Friday.   The only thing that was in the trap for bait was what the last mink didn't eat.  Which was only a rat skull, tail and a little piece of meat.  Also got a little beaver today.

 I've caught a lot of mink that way. So much mink smell in the cage it draws them right in. Nice job!
