If I were to take a muskrat colony trap, set it on land and place bait in the middle of it could I catch Mink this way? Will a mink push the doors open to get the bait? Or am I better off buying a small Have-a-Hart to use for Mink?

Better buy a trap the cheap ones at farm stores work fine. colonies work for mink underwater but I think a mink will get out of them on land

Two pack of what size?
The bigger trap is 10x10x30 or something close to that and the other trap will be 7x7x24.  Both work for mink.

Thanks.

Would hanging the musk glands in a trap work for a lure for mink?

It's been pretty slow lately.   Only thing we have caught is a lousy old grinner and this salmon.  The salmon was released unharmed.

Is that one of those new-fangled self-baiting traps?   :chuckle:
