When you see an orange sign warning of logging operations ahead and it says walk in only; can you ride a bike?

I'm guessing yes.

I work for them, and you as a permit holder are not permitted to go past those signs. It is for your kwn safety. Sorry to break the bad news to you. I didn't even buy a permit. I think they are a bunch of crap.

We'll be in the Winston unit, no permit needed. Signs say you can walk in.

If it says walk in only then of course you are allowed in there. And I'd say a mountain bike would be fine as well. The signs are only meant to keep the motorized vehicles out.

I'd imagine it is meant for things that could get in the way of log trucks---vehicles/ATVs; things that don't interfere with logging like feet or bikes that can get off the road real fast probably okay.
