Deer, Elk, bear, and cougar, I use a Sako Finlight in 300 win. mag. ,  in 300 win. mag and I take a Ruger M77 MkII, in 7mm mag. for backup. Both with Leopold VXIII 3x9x40

Grouse either a marlin .22 or Reminton 1600 auto (old but reliable)

I've been short on luck finding the critters so far. But when I do find them I plan on taking them (deer or bear is all I am going for this season) with:

Rem .30-06
Freedom Arms .50 (borrowed until I get me a nice pistol)
Stickbow

I haven't decided which to use for deer this year, either the
Tikka T3 Stainless .300 wsm with 150 gr partitions at 3180 fps or the Browning Stainless Stalker 7mm-08 with 140 gr partitions at 3000 fps.
They each weigh 7 lbs fully loaded and are deadly on deer. I guess it will depend what kind of mood I'm in at the time. It's a tough decision every year.

I normally hunt all big game with a smoke-pole (Winchester x-150).  This year I'll be doing deer with a 1960 era Ben Pearson cougar recurve, Marlin 30-30 or a custom 308 Norma Mag and the usual smoke-pole. Elk, sticking with the x-150.  Majority of  birds are tackled with a Benelli Nova in 12 ga.
I read it on the internet, its gotta be real

Not sure, I'll have to look I inherited it from my dad. I know it's around a 1958-1962 model. Super nice gun. True story, first time I ever shot it, I shot a round of skeet and hit 22 of 22, then bagged my duck limit first time duck hunting same weekend. I'd like to take the credit, but the gun did the work..  ;)

what happened to the other 3??
over/under? 12 or 20 gauge?
i have a over/under 20 gauge ithaca featherweight, newer than yours i assume, made by SKB. i love that gun, but it's too short for me. it's a pleasure to carry in the field.
