We need to delist them, I survived a pissed off pack of wolves, nothing cute and cuddly about them.

Seriously. Was this in Washington. If so where and when? I don't remember reading anything about this.

There must be elk in Kitsap, it is an open unit for Muzzleloaders, 3 point or better. Certainly the state would not open a unit if there were no animals in it just to say "well your user group has 19 GMU's to chose from so quit complaining".....

I think the "only three packs in western Washington"  bit is a reference to the REQUIREMENT for delisting in the WA Wolf Plan whether the person who said it realized it or not. She may have improperly memorized her talking points

You know after spending all night planning your gay wedding and then having nothing but a dooby for breakfast and lunch all those talking points are sort of hard to keep straight.

Funniest thing I've read in a thread so far

I wondered if any of the Duck Dynasty guys were on here, looks like Phil Robertson himself is, aka RadSav. :chuckle:

Wouldn't break my heart.  Just that much closer to delisting.

Ive never understood the "logic" of those eager to reach the delisting threshold. :dunno:

I talked to a game warden this past summer, who recently retired, he said that there are in fact a pack of wolves in kitsap county.
:chuckle: maybe penned up in some meth heads backyard.

I read an article last year on how they determine who will get what as far as wolf populations. The model they used was based on sheep density. They said in the article that Washington state has the lowest sheep density therfore they will get the highest number of breeding pairs. I think we should hire Gus Thorsen to visit. I personally know he can definately eradicate a whole pack in days. There has been a pack in the winston unit for years. You do not hear them talk much about them.
