Great videos, I may have to switch a couple of my cams to video mode. How does video effect battery life vs just picture mode? It could be a couple months between cam checks for me so battery life becomes important. Thank you for posting those up. The eagles are really cool
. Figures the yote would pee on it

Video mode does use more battery life, but IMO is well worth it. When you just get pictures you miss a lot of the interaction of the animals. You can always grab a still from the movies.
Eagle cam took 45sec. vids every 5 min., soaked for 3 weeks, had 190 videos when pulled and the battery indicator had not dropped from full charge
Elk cam over salt last season--Bushnell cams, 32GB SD, basic alkaline batteries, 30second movie triggered every 5 minutes, would capture 900-1200 videos a week. At this pace the 8 alkalines would last me about 2-3 weeks.
If you set the cam to trigger every 15-30min, or even 1hr., you should be able to really extend battery life I would think.

Great videos. Video shows so much more than photos. It's awesome. I now have a camera that does decent video, a Moultrie M80. I will be taking in more bait tomorrow, and I think I'll switch it over to video mode. This thread inspired me. I've also got a white flash camera there so I'll still get photos.

THX bobcat. All my cams are always in video mode, I see and learn more. I hear lots of good about the M80, Going to get one of those next just to try something different, but I am happy with my bushnells, been problem free on 6 of them.
On a side note, Fred Meyer has some great deals on AA batteries right now, Panasonic 24 pack for $7.99 BOGO
