Last day of the season
« on: January 26, 2014, 04:21:58 PM »
Had a blast on my last day of the season, saw thousands of ducks but right before legal light :'(  I was able to connect on some beautiful drake wigeons and watched my friends either shoot some  or shoot at them :chuckle:

Good for you. I didn't fire my gun the last two times out so today I took both labs to the Puyallup fairgrounds with the dummy launcher and did some loooong range work. They loved it and got a lot more work than if I'd have gone hunting.

Nice, I saw a couple dozen widgeon and mallards today but all back in the bay where I can't hunt.  Missed one hen mallard and had three widgeon that swam in range but took off before I could get on them.  I did get four other birds though.

On the way home after shooting time, I saw a raft of hundreds of mergansers.   :bash:
