I have this for nightstand easy access.
http://www.amazon.com/Gardall-PS915E-Safe-Electronic-Lock/dp/B0020P5KOE/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1391317547&sr=8-17
Fits one or two pistols and expensive, but easy access.
And this elsewhere.
http://www.amazon.com/SentrySafe-SFW123DSB-Combination-Fire-Safe-Medium/dp/B005P12F2K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1391317594&sr=8-1
Fits more, less expensive, but access not as quick.
I am pleased with both.

I have this by my bed side. I've got a Sig P238 and a Glock 27 along with 3 loaded mags inside. We also have two children, I have found it very reliable so far. I think you can find these for a tad over $100 if you look around. Good luck.

I also have one of these cabled to the bed frame. But I like the other one above better.
Got this as a gift.
