Have any of you hunted both east and west side during the season?
Did you hunt more west than east or vice versa?
Gathering is easy. Hunting is a challenge.

My buddy and I normally hunt Westside. Last year he drew multi and a goose prairie archery tag. We hunted hard and he passed about a dozen bulls trying to kill a big one knowing he still had time. Ended up killing a little 6x6 opening day of muzzy season on Westside.

I don't personally know a single guy that's drawn a Multi-Season Elk. Out of all the guys I'm around and hunt with.

My hunting partner drew the MS Elk last year and did a muzzy on the west and a rifle on the East. We both had MS deer tags, couple that with a good salmon run, some steelhead fishing and finishing up the bowfishing season. Too much going on to spend the money on the MS tags. We won't be doing it again.

Tag soup on elk, he got a deer last day of late archery.
Just tend your own and live.

The only advantage us archers have to justify the MS is the option to put into those hard to draw quality rifle tags..buglebuster, there were a few nice bulls in goose prairie, but a tough, silent hunt till after the storms! Hunt alot in the lil Bald area. :)
BH, actually quite of few MS elk drawn here in this area. Not worth tho cost with the archery elk season imho

Me too.  I'm still waiting to draw one.  5pts this year, so decent chance.  But, none of my hunting buddies have drawn either...yet.

Really?  I've drawn (and declined it) twice, my buddy has drawn muti elk and deer at least 5 times.   Almost everyone that I know has drawn it at least once.  :dunno:

For elk, I put in for east side draw tags (didn't draw any) and then hunted west side bulls.

I'm in the same boat, I have 6 points going into it this year I'm getting tired of not drawing that tag...

If they had everyone front the money for the tags we would all draw more often I bet.

I believe if wa was more like Montana, there would be more revenue for everyone involved but the game harvests would not suffer since only one animal is harvested (Legally). I'd pay my $182 every year just to be able to have all those options for all that hunting time. Burn me if you wish but instead of let's say 30000 applicants with only 2000 permits awarded the state would be receiving the 182 bucks for every one of the 30000. The math looks simple to me, and I'd be happy.

I drew the Elk in 2009, i shot a bull in the west side muzzy season that i usually hunt. Didn't hunt archery, or rifle.

I apply for it because i have 16 points (Quality and Bull). So i apply for the east side permits and hunt the west side if i don't draw.

28000 more that could hunt all three seasons would create more crowding.
