Cowlitz smelt definately in

Half an hour drive to the river, one dip, pour half back, sold my nets, head home, stop for breakfast, all before 8:30.  You got till noon, plenty of time if you live close enough.

I fished up at Blue Creek today. I couldn't believe how many smelt were pooring along the clay banks. We anchored for a bit and must have seen 10k swim past us. Actually had one get snagged on a plug when we reeled up.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?
