one more question guys. Given that this is a older inline muzzleloader do you think it is safe to shoot the newer style powerbelt bullets? or should i stick to led or sabbot bullets?
Safe, yes. You can shoot a rock in a muzzle loader.
I tried Powerbelts in my .54 Hawken, and they didn't seal the barrel well, and hunting on a rainy day, the powder got wet. Shot the rest of them for target practice and never bought any more. Some guys like them, though.
