I just bought the good ol' Weatherby 100 grn Spitzers that are made for it.

very tight groups with this ammo

We've killed all kinds of stuff with the 100 grain Barnes TTSX including 3 moose. I shot my cow elk this year with 1 shot at 512 yds with 100 grain Hornady Spire point, also several bear and deer with the Hornady.

I have used a few other bullets and weights, they all seem to kill out of the 257.

Bi mart had good prices on weather by ammo a few weeks ago. 36 bucks. Didn't look closely at what bullet. Compare to cabelas....
