Hey everyone,
I'm writing an article for the Pope and Young Club on Field Photo Tips. It will run on the web site or in a future edition of the quarterly newsletter. It's up to the editors to decide. I thought it might be a nice chance opportunity for Hunting-WA folks to get their photos published.
You don't need to be a P&Y member, but I am looking for high quality, well-composed, high resolution archery success photos. I'd like to include a variety of game, especially animals from WA. Longbows, recurves, and compounds as well. I'm also looking for examples of poor photos such as dark shadows hiding the hunters face, excessive blood, etc. as a means to explain how this can be avoided.
If you'd like to submit a photo or two, please send them to me at twryle@comcast.net. If I choose your photo(s) for submission, I'll respond to get your full name, mailing address, and phone number. All submissions will be pre-screened by me and chosen by the editors as the layout permits. I'm also looking for examples of poor photos such as dark shadows hiding the hunters face, etc. as a means to explain how this can be avoided. Your name will appear next to any photo that is published, or otherwise be noted in the article.
All your information and photos will be kept confidential and only used for the purposes of this article. If you have any questions, post them and I'll answer them for the benefit of all who are interested.
Thanks for you time!
-Tom
