Never heard of a melanistic squirrel

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Cool.  We used to see them every so often at a buddy of mines place in Western Wisconsin.  Odd looking little creatures.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

My parents lived in the Spooner area of WI and they were quite common there.  They are legal to hunt there.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

In my recent 6 weeks in Northern MI at relatives house  experienced Fox squirrels, Gray Squirrels, Black Squirrels, red squirrels and flying squirrels visiting my sisters Bird feeders on a daily basis. a single Fox, Gray or Black would all take up most of the room in a 3 quart cook pot.
Here is a pic of grays and blacks in the yard

Cool Jingles!!!  Same here the fox squirrels are so fat.  Taste GREAT!

Yes they are legal to hunt here however this fella resides on base and in a no hunting area.  He picked a good spot to live.  :)
